By now, university open days are well under way and you’ll be welcoming potential students and preparing them for university or college life. We know how important open days are to help prospective students decide which university or college to go to and what to study. Wherever they choose to study, they still need their finance in place and, while you give them information about the university and a chance to view the facilities, we can tell them about the financial help they can get. We’ve created a range of resources for you to share with students thinking about going to university or college in academic year 2016/17.
Our Student Finance Explained film explains what they can get and breaks the process down into three easy steps from applying to repaying. You can share it with students by visiting our YouTube channel.
Our ready-made presentation covers eligibility, what’s available, how to apply and repay, and managing money. You can tailor the presentation to your own needs, removing slides to make it appropriate for your audience, whether you’re talking to students or their parents. It’s available to download from our website.
We’ve updated our interactive student finance quick start guides for academic year 2016/17. The quick start guides allow students and parents to find out the different types of student finance available – including how to apply and repay – all in one central place.
You can also tell students about our dedicated student finance zone on The Student Room. It has everything they need to know about student finance, including what they can get, how to apply and repay and our range of guidance. And, if they’ve got a question about student finance, they can ask our advisors.
Throughout the year, we’ll be adding more resources for academic year 2016/17, so remember to bookmark our website and keep checking back. Let us take the stress out of delivering information on student finance!
