All invitations to reapply for an NHS Bursary for continuing students whose next academic year begins in April/May 2016 were sent out on 12 January 2016
These were sent by email from NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) with a letter attached. Can you please ask students to regularly check their spam/junk folder in case their email provider moves the email into this folder. They should also check their email settings to ensure they allow email attachments to be sent through to their Inbox rather than straight to spam/junk.
NHSBSA send invitations to the contact details they already have, so please remind students not to forget to update their Bursary Online Support System (BOSS) account if their details change.
If their course starts in April/May 2016 and they haven’t received the email, they can go ahead and make their application now by logging onto your current BOSS account then clicking the link ‘apply/reapply for an NHS bursary’. The deadline to apply and send NHSBSA all their supporting evidence is 26 February 2016.
NHSBSA can’t begin to assess their entitlement until they’re received the student’s supporting evidence and coversheet.
If they meet the deadline and their application is approved, their monthly payments will be set up ready for the start of the next academic year.
